R5000-HD DVR Modification for DCP501 cable

The Motorola DCP501 Home Theater System integrates a DCT2000 series cable tuner and is pretty much the only digital cable tuner available on the retail market. Although it is an SD (Standard-Definition) unit, full HD capture is possible as long as the unit is authorized for HD channels. Recent rulings force cable providers to activate customer-owned equipment, but check with your provider before sending us this unit for modification. The R5000-HD adds full DVR and archiving capabilities to Motorla digital cable boxes. Includes a 2m USB cable and the standard DVR/PVR software suite.
