The R5000-HD adds full DVR capability to the Dish Network model ViP 211 receiver. Includes a 2m USB cable and the standard DVR/PVR software suite. The ViP 211 is the most advanced receiver from Dish Network, offering full MPEG-4 reception capability. The R5000-HD captures all MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 (H.264) HD and SD channels from the 211 (subscription required). Recording of OTA (DTV) channels is also supported. Note: Dish 411 owners purchase this modification.
